The clips just aren't good enough January 2, 2009
I was thrilled to get this item in house, putting the microphone on a stand and of course the big bonus the PS3 controller to a clip and playing Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Band 2, yeah! I'm not sure what I was expecting, but when opening the box it was kinda different than I thought it would be. It's just a simple microphone standard and the only difference is it gets delivered with three plastic controller clips (for either PS3, Xbox 360 and/or Wii). You have to click it on the stand and there is a risk already, since the plastic clips seem very fragile. I was very happy with it for as long as it worked, but at one point I took the PS3 controller from the clip (not even with any force) and it snapped! Perhaps all the temperature varieties was part of the cause of that, but if it's good quality I don't expect it to snap. So in that matter it was a real disappointment. I wonder why they don't sell these clips seperately, since you can clip them on any stand. And then make it sturdy clips! I praise the initiative and the release by Mad Catz, they have a lot of cool accessoires, but they should improve this one. So it's hard for me to rate it, but just for that I give it 3 stars.

Received the item this week, was looking forward to it just for a purely more rock felling when playing Rock Band.
Very easy out of the box assembly, you only have to un-tighten a few screws an your ready to customize the height at which you want the stand to be.
Love the controller clips so we can have easy and fast access to them
On the negative side, the materials look a bit fragile, not sturdy enough and it doesn't "stand" on the ground the way I would like it to stand, what I mean by that is that it shakes very easily.
Also there is no clip for the Mic itself, the Mic will be fixed to the stand pressed on a "spring" and not fitted on a "U Clip"
All in all, is a good product, could be better in my opinion but it serves is purpose
