Great for character specs.. not much else! December 23, 2008
I am a big fan of MMORPG's and have bought the books for most of them. WAR is the latest game I have been playing and so I bought this book to see how to go about the game and which character to choose etc etc..
Overall the book is very nicely presented and has absolutely tons of useful info in for each of the character classes (although not all as a couple of new classes have been added to game since publication).
There are also some nice looking maps which give a general idea of where to head, although there are very few quest details.
Also, there seems to be no mention of the crafting proffessions as I was desperately searching for details of this and ended up having to search the net. Also there is not much in the way of the in game tactics. It would also have been nice to have seen details of the achievements (although this would have also taken some of the fun out of discovering them I suppose!)..
Overall it is a nice book and a good one if you are like me and very indecisive when creating a new character. If it helps - roll a black orc, they are amazing!!

A very pretty guide to accompany the WAR game. All of the character classes are discussed in depth and all the necessary stats and skills/powers are explained. Character development ideas and skills sets are also covered.
What the book lacks is more information about the actual game world; and before you say anything I know there is a Map Book that can be bought separately, as I already have it :) What I mean is better explanations of the various scavenging type skills, lists of the various items and artefacts that can be found and just what everything does. I'd recommend this book to anyone new to MMORPGs or to the Warhammer World but otherwise most of the information this book contains is of limited use.

This is a well produced and attractive book but apart from some of the maps it tells you nothing about the game.

This is a good buy if your going to buy the Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning game as its very informative in both different character/class values and also magics/weapons/shields etc.
Worth the buy :D
