When it comes to animated movies, there’s no match to Disney as they are the best in the industry and when it comes to gaming, THQ is a well-known brand and this time, THQ has launched a game titled as ‘Wall-E’. The game is based on the movie and it follows the movie storyline for most of the part. The game has been released for all the major platforms like PS3, PS2, PS, WII and it’s already gained popularity among gamers.
Even if you haven’t seen the movie, you’re most likely to enjoy the game as it’s an exciting game which can be used to kill the time. In the game, humans are settles on the floating mega-ships in the outerspace and the story basically revolves around the robot that was left on Earth. If you’re wondering what does Wall-E stands for then it stands for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth –class. In the game, you’re presented with two playable characters Wall-E and his crush Eve. Wall-E has the capability to compact trash, perform jumps along with the capability to use a laser gun whereas the Eve has the capability to fly and shoot the obstacles with her weapons.
Although the game is mainly based on the movie, some special environments and quests have been developed especially for the game. Overall, the game consists of 10 worlds in total but all the worlds are not very long and you can say that the game is fairly small. The game consists of several puzzles which are easy to solve as the game is aimed for kids. As for the graphics, they are of acceptable quality but there are a number of games available which have better quality than Wall-E. The music used in the game is also decent and the soundtracks are also of acceptable quality. At least, you won’t get bored listening to them while playing the game. The developers have also tried to use the voices that are similar to the ones used in the movie and they have achieved success to some extent. An interesting feature of Wall-E is that it has a multiplayer option which allows a player to play the game with three more players and this gives Wall-E an edge over other movie-licensed games.
Overall, the game is aimed at kids and the visuals, sound, controls, gameplay are of acceptable quality. The game can keep you busy for some time. However, if you’re looking for an-action packed game that is pretty involved then Wall-E is not for you but if you’re after a light game that’s fun-packed then Wall-E is meant for you.
