New execs at Namco Bandai

NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc., today announced the appointment of industry veteran Susan Hughes-Taigen to vice president of sales as well as the promotion of Catherine Fowler to senior vice president of sales and marketing. As part of the senior management team, Hughes-Taigen will spearhead the company’s North and Latin America sales efforts while fostering long term customer and channel relationships. Fowler will continue to oversee the marketing, corporate branding and communication strategies while assuming the responsibility of all the organization’s sales initiatives.

“Susan brings a wealth of experience with an outstanding history of success and we are excited to have her on board as part of the NAMCO BANDAI Games executive team,” said Genichi Ito, president and chief executive officer of NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. “The appointment of Susan and promotion of Catherine only strengthens our efforts to expand our market share and drive business growth in a highly competitive market. Their proven track record coupled with their expertise will be an invaluable asset to the organization.”

Fowler has a distinguished background in management, sales and marketing. Previously, Fowler served as senior vice president of publishing at Codemasters Inc. where she oversaw all of the company’s business units which resulted in record revenue growth. Prior to Codemasters, she was the senior vice president of sales and marketing at Konami Digital Entertainment. During her eight year tenure, Fowler was responsible for all the sales and marketing strategies of their interactive entertainment properties.

Hughes-Taigen comes to NAMCO BANDAI Games with an impressive interactive entertainment sales background which spans more than 25 years. Most recently, Hughes-Taigen served as senior vice president of sales at Sega of America where she oversaw all of the company’s sales and distribution functions which resulted in year-over-year sales growth. Prior to Sega of America, she was vice president of sales and consultant to a number of companies in the video game and mobile device spaces. Previously, she was senior vice president of sales at Mattel Inc. where she managed the sales, channel marketing and sales operations teams which consistently exceeded profit targets and generated record revenue.
